2026 Youth Internship Program The 2026 Youth Internship Program is a social contribution internship program designed to go beyond simple work experience, providing young participants with a meaningful opportunity for personal growth by helping them understand real-world industries and explore their own potential. The program was held for one week, from January 5 to January 9, 2026, at the request of Gyeonggi Suwon International School (GSIS). It was designed to broaden students’ perspectives on future career paths and help them develop a sense of responsibility and problem-solving skills by experiencing real-world corporate environments, technology industries, and organizational culture outside the classroom. Leading Korean NAND Flash Controller Company The-AIO Changes Its Name to AIO
On April 1, 2024, The-AIO, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in NAND Flash Controller technology, announced that it had changed its corporate name to AIO. The name change is a strategic decision aimed at clarifying the company’s identity and strengthening its presence in the global market. Three Key Reasons Behind the Name Change AIO outlined three key reasons for the change. First, stronger brand recognition By removing “The” from its previous name, the company can communicate its name more clearly and intuitively. In Korean, the pronunciation beginning with “A” is also simpler and easier to remember than the previous name beginning with “The.” Second, a simplified brand identity in preparation for a public listing As the company actively prepares for a public listing, it recognized the need for a simpler and more straightforward Korean name. The change is intended to make the company name easier for investors and customers to recognize and remember. Third, greater product differentiation The part numbers of AIO’s core NAND Flash Controller products currently begin with “T,” which could lead to confusion with products from Taiwanese competitors. By changing its corporate name to AIO, beginning with “A,” the company plans to adopt product part numbers beginning with “A” in the future, creating clearer differentiation in the market. AIO Gains Recognition for Its Korean NAND Flash Controller Technology AIO is a leading Korean fabless semiconductor company that has focused on developing NAND Flash Controllers since 2011. The company has gained industry recognition by successfully localizing NAND Flash Controller technology in a market traditionally led by Taiwanese and Chinese companies. AIO has continued to strengthen its domestic technology capabilities by securing interface technologies for supporting newly developed memory products, design tools for enhancing reliability, and Controller technologies for SD Cards, eMMC, and USB. At the same time, the company actively pursues open innovation through external collaboration. An AIO representative said, “This name change is more than simply a change in our corporate name. It represents an important turning point in realizing our future vision and strengthening our global competitiveness. Through our planned public listing, we aim to contribute to the development of Korea’s system semiconductor industry and help strengthen the country’s position as a global semiconductor leader.” AIO has successfully commercialized and supplied NAND Flash Controllers and continues to record steady revenue growth. The company is also actively working to attract top talent by enhancing employee benefits, including the granting of stock options.
